Contributors – read before posting

Past and present members of VWC (and maybe a few people we want to invite) can make posts about anything, hopefully in some way related to life as a professional or aspiring writer.

When composing a post don’t forget to assign a pertinent category or two from the list (on the right when composing), or make one up – but try not to create category clutter. We don’t really need a category for every author out there, or every possible problem that writers can run into. Don’t get in a stress about it, but the aim is to make the place easy to look around.

Other contributors: get stuck in. Anything that is offensive, abusive, threatening, appears to run afoul of the UK’s defamation laws, or which breaches somebody else’s copyright, will be summarily deleted. Other than that: ain’t free speech grand? Tell us what you think.

You retain all rights to your contributions and can re-use them in anyway you see fit.

And also, fact fans….

The form of CAPTCHA we use to control spam was developed by some clever buggers at Carnegie Mellon University and, when you use it, you help them refine Optical Character Recognition for scanning in ancient texts to preserve for posterity. Note that you have to put TWO words in.

PS Note to VWC members: this isn’t the Member’s Area so it is probably not the place to post your works in progress!

Oh, and it seems registration emails (which contain your password) take a while to come through. Please be patient.
